The country is blessed with stunning natural landscapes, including the majestic peaks of the Macedonian mountains. Mount Korab, the highest peak in North Macedonia is a popular choice for hiking and mountaineering. The Mavrovo National Park is another beautiful area know for its dense forests and abundant wildlife
Apart from the wilderness adventures, North Macedonia also offers cultural experiences. You can explore charming traditional villages and interact with local communities. Many rural areas have farm restaurants where you can taste delicious traditional Macedonian cuisine. There restaurants often serve locally sourced ingredients and offer a unique farm to table experience.
Macedonian wineries are also renowned for their excellent wines. The country has a long history of wine making and you can visit wineries to learn about the wine production process and of course indulge in wine tasting. Macedonian wines such as Vranec and Kratoshija have gained international recognition for taste and quality.

2 days E – bike activities ( Shar and Mavrovo National Parks)

Day 1 - Arrival
Arrival in Skopje International Airport. Transfer to Skopje old town for a city tour and lunch. Transfer to Popova Shapka on Shar mountain National Park for overnight stay in Hotel Scardus.
After arrival, we will drive to Skopje city center and do a short city tour. We will visit the main square, pass the famous Stone bridge from where we have an amazing view of Ljuboten peak also presented on the coat of arms of Skopje.
This ancient bridge connects the main square with the Old Bazar - which is the most authentic part of the city. We will dwell through the small cobalt stone streets, where 15-century Turkish architecture present in the old Hamams, Mosques, and Caravan Sarays will be all around us. We will have a small lunch in the Bazar, followed by Turkish coffee, and then make our way toward the mountains.
The night we will spend it. Hotel Scarus, a wonderful 4* mountain hotel, owned by people with
real passion for the local products and cuisine. We will have a traditional dinner, a fine
introduction to our amazing food, which is a mixture of Greek and Turkish influence with a local
twist.
And the local wine selection is also outstanding.
The Shar Mountain where we spend our first overnight and hikes, is the newest National park in
the country, pronounced only a year ago. The mountain is also the biggest in Macedonia and
Kosovo, and is a home to over 2500 species of plants and various wildlife, like bears, wolves
and even lynx.
Our hotel also has a SPA center free to use.
Day 2 - E-bike Leshnica Valley
Breakfast is served and we are getting ready for our first active day. We will have a general
briefing and training about the tour and how to use the E-bikes.

After breakfast we will start riding directly from the hotel. We will ascend to 2000 meters of altitude in the morning, and start descending a nice and vivid single trail deep in the Sharr Mountain forests. From the single trail we will exit on a dirt road, taking us up and down to one of the most beautiful places in Macedonia, the Valley of Lower Leshnica where we will organize a picnic lunch. After the lunch we continue to ride towards the villages of Bozovce, Veshala and Shipkovica, crossing two small mountain rivers, where our transport will pick us up to get us back to SCARDUS HOTEL

Day 3 - Hike to Tito's Peak

Leaving our mountain hotel on foot we have an early start for a long but rewarding trek to Tito’s peak. We start ascending on the beautiful and long ridgeline, known as the winter trail. On the hike, we will exit to the ridge often surpassing 2400 meters, and also climb the Ceripasina, Anteni, Karabunar, and Bakardan peaks.
The trail is vivid and exposed, offering us amazing views of the great peaks of Shar Mountain, the valley of Leshnica, and also far in the distance to the Accursed Mountains, Solunska Glava, and even Pelister mountain.
Hiking the winter trail gives us the chance to also climb Bakardan peak, which is the second- highest on Shar Mountain. The trail back goes through the Vakaf area.
On it, our well-paced walk follows high scenic pastures, moorlands, and panoramic rest points as we enjoy the ascent towards the peak of Mt Titov Vrv (2747 m).
Our afternoon descent leads us back to the resort of Popova Shapka where we can still keep the rooms and have a relaxing shower and pack. We checkout and drive onto our hotel accommodation in Mavrovo national park.

Day 4 - E-bike Mavrovo National Park
After breakfast and checkout we will start riding to the village of Leunovo, positioned next to Mavrovo lake. From there we exit on a nice dirt road, wiggling through pine and beech forest to one of the most beautiful highlands in Macedonia. We will cross picturesque pastures, with views going as far as the borders with Albania and Kosovo. On our ride there is a possibility to witness the century long traditions of sheep herding, and we will organize a small snack lunch in one of the sheepfolds. This road will take us to the most famous Miyak tribe village Galicnik. We will have lunch at the local Horse ranch and from here we are going to pick up for transfer to the city of Ohrid.
Day 5 - Free activity day in Ohrid

Ohrid is a city in the southwestern part of Macedonia, on the northeast coast of Ohrid Lake.
Ohrid and Lake Ohrid are one of the main tourist destinations in Macedonia. This city is located
in the southwestern part of Macedonia, on the north-eastern coast of the Ohrid Lake. In terms of
traffic it is linked to roads leading to Skopje, Bitola, Debar and the Republic of Albania. The old
road Via Egnatia, linking the Adriatic and the White Sea, also passed in its vicinity, which was
an important circumstance for the development of Ohrid in the past. Traffic on the waters of the
Ohrid Lake is of little importance. It is used in the function of fishing and for tourist purposes.

Day 6 – Hike at Jablanica Mountain
The Yablanica mountain is one of the least visited beauties in Macedonia. Formed as an old
volcano, it is a lively mountain full of small rivers, pastures and high forests. It is also a National
Park from the side of Albania, and gives us one of the best views to the amazing Ohrid lake.
We start from the famous village Gorna Belica and we will have a easy going round trip to the
local peaks with returning back to the village

Day 7 - Hike at Galichica National Park
The two lakes hike up to the peak Magaro on the top of Galicica Mountain National park.
Breakfast and checkout. We will drive up to the high mountain pass between Ohrid and Prespa
lakes, stopping to enjoy the view of the massive lakes beneath us. We start hiking from the
pass, and slowly ascend above the beech and pine forest. As we gain altitude, it becomes clear
why the hike is named The two lakes, and both lakes will appear beneath us. While hiking, apart
from the amazing view, reminiscences of WWI will be around, old bunkers and trenches, now
retaken by nature. We have a circular hike, so we make a round on another path to descend to
our van
We start driving back to Skopje, and stay in the amazing Chateau Kamnik for a wine tasting
dinner.
Kamnik is a boutique winery, specialized in high quality wines, from local and italian grape
types. They control their whole process of wine making, and have received multiple international
awards for their red and white wines, including Mundus Vini.
