Matka Canyon is one of the top spots for the local climbers. Located in the outskirts of the capitol Skopje. It is a natural gem, with steep limestone rocks rising from the blue waters of river Treska. In Matka, climbers find lovely south-exposed sport routes and great classical long routes—only 20 minutes from the centre of Skopje.
Demir Kapija Gorge is the most popular are for rock climbing in Macedonia. Located in the center of the country and in the heart of the wine region, Demir Kapija offers year-round possibilities. Excellent limestone and the abundance of sport-climbing routes in the shade. As well as amazing long routes rising from the Vardar River will keep you busy on your active holiday. Rock climbing in Macedonia, Prilep has been a hotspot for bouldering since 2009. Local and foreign climbers cleaned and climbed some of the thousands of boulders in the Prilep field. You will enjoy high-quality granite rock with amazing shapes in a fantastic surrounding. You will also enjoy short and long bolted routes … or find a perfectly shaped crack for traditional climbing. The possibilities are practically endless.
